Glasgow Airport (GLA) is the second largest facility in Scotland after Edinburgh Airport and it handles around nine million passengers per year, flying to destinations the world over.

One terminal deals with all flights, although the recent addition of Terminal 2 provides a separate area for budget airlines.

The facilities at Glasgow Airport (GLA) are very well laid out and cater to the needs of all passengers, with money changers and ATMs, excellent shopping and dining, good business services, modern facilities for disabled passengers and fun areas for children.

Shops, Duty-Free and Retail Outlets
Shopping facilities at Glasgow Airport (GLA) are mainly located on the first floor, although there are shops dotted around the airport building. You will find newsagents and bookshops, fashion and jewellery stores, genuine Scottish products and lots of duty-free merchandise in the Departures area. Popular shops at Glasgow Airport include World Duty Free, The Body Shop, Boots, Dorothy Perkins, Tie Rack and WH Smith.

Bars, Cafés and Restaurants
Glasgow Airport (GLA) has many cafés, restaurants and bars dotted throughout the terminal on both sides of security including McDonald's, Costa, Garfunkel's, the 24-hour Weavers Café and J&R Tennant's pub. There is also a Starbucks and O'Brians Irish Sandwich Bar.

Currency Exchange, Communications and Banking Facilities
You will find ATMs located throughout the terminal building, both in Arrivals and Departures, downstairs and upstairs, and there are also bureaux de change and postal facilities at the airport. Business facilities are good, with telephone and fax facilities located on the first floor, while conference rooms can be found at the Glasgow Airport Business Centre, Renfrewshire Chamber of Commerce and Travel Inn.

Disabled Facilities
Facilities for the disabled at Glasgow Airport (GLA) are also very good, with an induction loop and mini-loop system, wide aisles, adapted toilet facilities, lowered telephones, text pay phone, free wheelchair assistance and yellow signage for those with visual impairment.
